He has an impressive portfolio of performances and compositions for dance companies, jazz bands in high schools and colleges, local jazz groups, tap dance ensembles, and theater companies.

Born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, Lacy  grew up surrounded by music, developing a deep affinity for the trumpet. Influenced by his older brothers Andre Williams and Berkeley Williams, who were also musicians, Lacy was particularly inspired by the marching band.

Lacy’s dedication and skill were recognized when he received the prestigious Louie Armstrong Award for his outstanding jazz musicianship, performance, and leadership as a lead trumpet player.
