Vocals

Stephanie Massey - Vocalist

Stephanie Massey, affectionately known as “Sassy Massey,” discovered her love for music on the black top at John Taylor Williams Junior High in Charlotte, NC. This discovery led to a spot in the school chorus. She continued her choral career at Garinger High School in Charlotte, and she went on to obtain her B.A. in Music Liberal Arts at Livingstone College. While at Livingstone she was honored to sing for Dr. Maya Angelou at a United Negro College Fund event.

Lavita Hill - Vocalist

LaVita Hill is a Charlotte native and attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. A highly sought-after performer, LaVita has participated in many Tosco Music Festival shows over the years as well as in various choirs. A large part of her professional life has been spent in the banking and mortgage industry, and she is also a licensed real estate agent!

Cara Watson - Vocalist

Cara Watson was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. In 2013, she made a visit to her family in Charlotte, NC, and has been there ever since. She is an American Idol finalist and is currently pursuing a bachelors degree in vocal performance at UNC Charlotte. Her desire is to spread joy throughout the world with her voice.

Jay D Jones - Vocalist

Jay D. Jones is a Charlotte native who personifies the true quality of music at its finest. With a rich foundation in church and as a Jazz voice major, this modern day “Crooner” is bellowing his way to the top in the Indie industry of music and into the hearts of his fans with his soulful sounds and distinguished gentlemanly image. 

Jay D.  joined Sol Fusion in May 2023 and is truly honored and blessed to be a part of such an amazing talented group.

Rhythm Section

Archie "Snoop" Pearson - Bass

Archie Pearson, better known by most as Snoop, was born and raised in Concord, NC. He’s played with quite a few artists including Leela James, Tasha Cobbs, Raheem Devaugn, V Bozeman, Rudy Currence, Christopher Williams, Meli’sa Morgan and Alyson Williams. Says Snoop: “I’m just a super dope individual that just so happens to be a musician. I love to entertain and create great vibes.” Truly, his positive energy is contagious and inspiring. 

Brad Moody - Keys/Music Director

Brad Moody was born in Wilson, NC, and raised in Goldsboro, NC.  He has played with many artists such as Fantasia Barrino, En Vogue, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Leela James, Adina Howard, The Hamiltones and Jeff Bradshaw. Brad, who also goes by James – or Bobby, depending on who’s calling – is also an amazing basketball player and loves to cook!

Chris Gray - Drums

Chris Gray comes from a legendary musical family. Equally as talented on keys as he is on drums, his humble nature belies the monster within: guests, vendors and venue staff alike often find themselves mesmerized by his unfathomable and un-reproducible fills and riffs. He has produced and performed music for national recording artist Livingstone College Gospel Choir and has also performed with Fantasia, Fred Hammond, Donnie McClurkin, Kierra Sheard and many others.

David Liotta is a guitarist, bassist, music director, and producer. David has devoted his life to creating music and music education. He is most known for his work with Elevation Worship. He played on such albums as The Acoustic Sessions, Hallelujah Here Below, At Midnight, Graves Into Gardens, and Old Church Basement. He also co-produced the album Graves Into Gardens: Morning & Evening. Some of his other recording credits include Jeremy Camp, Kari Jobe, and Mack Brock. Lacy Haith - Trumpet

Lacy Haith is a versatile musician, composer, and educator with a passion for various genres including Urban Rap, R&B, Classical, and Theater. He has an impressive portfolio of performances and compositions for dance companies, jazz bands in high schools and colleges, local jazz groups, tap dance ensembles, and theater companies.

Born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, Lacy  grew up surrounded by music, developing a deep affinity for the trumpet. Influenced by his older brothers Andre Williams and Berkeley Williams, who were also musicians, Lacy was particularly inspired by the marching band.

With an aptitude for lead trumpet, Lacy aspired to become a jazz trumpet player. His high school band director, Mr. Brian Eric Millsap, recognized his talent and appointed Lacy as a substitute for the Greensboro big band rehearsals. Despite the challenges, Lacy embraced the opportunity and became a member of the Jazz combo associated with Dudley High School.

Lacy’s dedication and skill were recognized when he received the prestigious Louie Armstrong Award for his outstanding jazz musicianship, performance, and leadership as a lead trumpet player. He then attended NC A&T State University, where he pursued his musical education and further honed his skills.

During his time at A&T, Lacy had the privilege of playing with multiple ensembles and sharing the stage with notable artists such as Bill Cosby, Kanye West, Erykah Badu, and Wyclef Jean. He also had a significant music placement on the B.E.T TV show “Miss Pat.” 

Lacy’s mission is to continuously provide innovative and inspiring music for years to come, bringing pleasure to the ears of his listeners.

Charlie Fisher - Trombone

E. Bibbs is the founder and owner of AV Smarts, LLC. Originally from Fayetteville, NC, he now calls the Charlotte area home. His upbringing in Fayetteville is where he spawned his roots and affection for live entertainment. As a son of a singer, songwriter, and producer, it was only natural that E would work in the field of entertainment. Growing up in a musically rich household fueled his enthusiasm for music and production. Read More

Mike Kirkpatrick - Production Assistant

Darian Kirkpatrick, also known as Mike, is a part of the Sol Fusion production team. Darian is a native of Charlotte, NC where he has become a very gifted drummer, engineer, and producer. He is also currently the drummer for Charlotte artists by the name of Moonlander and YungCitizen.
Darian enjoys what he does and hopes to become one of best to do it.

Jason Singleton - Production Assistant

Jason Singleton was born and raised in Gastonia, NC. He has a passion for playing drums and working behind the scenes with production. He’s had the opportunity to play various styles of music as well as work with diverse groups of musicians. Currently, he can be found out on tour with Anthony Hamilton and the Ton3s.

Managers

Hester Kast-McClure

Hester and her husband Chris created Sol Fusion Band in 2011. She will be your main contact throughout your event-planning process and keeps extensive, detailed records. She manages the day-to-day scheduling and logistics and has earned the title of Professional Musician Wrangler. An accomplished singer, rapper and master of ceremonies, she is mostly retired from stage but occasionally makes appearances subbing for any of the three main Ladies of Sol.

Chris McClure

Chris began his extensive career in the entertainment industry as a tour manager for a rock band after his previous life of managing various athletic stores. Now a managing partner in the Charlotte office of EastCoast Entertainment, his current focus is on producing high-end private and corporate events featuring international artists such as Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Missy Elliott, Pitbull. FloRida and Keb’ Mo, just to name a few.
