Our Musicians

Vocals

Stephanie Massey Streater - Vocalist

Stephanie Massey Streater, affectionately known as “Sassy Massey,” discovered her love for music on the black top at John Taylor Williams Junior High in Charlotte, NC. This discovery led to a spot in the school chorus. She continued her choral career at Garinger High School in Charlotte, and she went on to obtain her B.A. in Music Liberal Arts at Livingstone College. While at Livingstone she was honored to sing for Dr. Maya Angelou at a United Negro College Fund event.

Lavita Hill - Vocalist

LaVita Hill is Sol Fusion’s Beyonce, Rihanna and Whitney Houston all in one. When Sol Fusion (at the time known only as “New Charlotte Band”) first held auditions in November 2011, LaVita had just gotten married and was in the process of moving, and therefore could not come to the audition. Luckily (for us!) a second audition was held a couple weeks later, and the rest is history!

Cara Watson - Vocalist

Cara Watson was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. In 2013, she made a visit to her family in Charlotte, NC, and has been there ever since. She is an American Idol finalist and is currently pursuing a bachelors degree in vocal performance at UNC Charlotte. Her desire is to spread joy throughout the world with her voice.

Devon Brown - Vocalist

Rhythm Section

Archie "Snoop" Pearson - Bass

Archie Pearson, better known by most as Snoop, was born and raised in Concord, NC. He’s played with quite a few artists including Leela James, Tasha Cobbs, Raheem Devaugn, V Bozeman, Rudy Currence, Christopher Williams, Meli’sa Morgan and Alyson Williams. Says Snoop: “I’m just a super dope individual that just so happens to be a musician. I love to entertain and create great vibes.” Truly, his positive energy is contagious and inspiring.

Brad Moody - Keys

Brad Moody was born in Wilson, NC, and raised in Goldsboro, NC.  He has played with many artists such as Fantasia Barrino, En Vogue, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Leela James, Adina Howard, The Hamiltones and Jeff Bradshaw. Brad, who also goes by James – or Bobby, depending on who’s calling – is also an amazing basketball player and loves to cook!

Chris Gray - Drums

Chris Gray comes from a legendary musical family. Equally as talented on keys as he is on drums, his humble nature belies the monster within: guests, vendors and venue staff alike often find themselves mesmerized by his unfathomable and un-reproducible fills and riffs.

David Liotta is a guitarist, bassist, music director, and producer. David has devoted his life to creating music and music education. He is most known for his work with Elevation Worship. He played on such albums as The Acoustic Sessions, Hallelujah Here Below, At Midnight, Graves Into Gardens, and Old Church Basement. He also co-produced the album Graves Into Gardens: Morning & Evening. Some of his other recording credits include Jeremy Camp, Kari Jobe, and Mack Brock. He has a bachelors degree in guitar performance from Winthrop University. Read More
